Canes Prospects Invited to Provincial Camps

The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club is proud to announce that seven prospects drafted in the 2016 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft have been invited to their Under-16 Provincial Camps in preparation for the 2016 Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup slated to take place in Calgary, Alberta in October.

Of the seven players selected by their province, three are from Alberta, two from British Columbia and one from Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The Hurricanes first round selection (19th overall) forward Dylan Cozens, as well as defenseman Alex Cotton, who was selected in the fifth round (99th overall) were two of 80 players selected to attend the Male u-16 Provincial Camp scheduled to take place July 13-17 in Shawnigan Lake, BC.
Forward Max Neill, who was picked with the 184th pick in the ninth round, took part in the Hockey Manitoba Program of Excellence Top-40 Camp in Winnipeg from May 12-15 where he was named as one of 28 forwards selected in the Top-40 players.

The Hurricanes second round pick (41st overall), defenseman Nolan Jones was invited to the Under-16 Male SaskFirst Summer Camp. He was one of the Top-43 U-16 players, and one of 12 defenseman, invited to the camp that will run August 1-5 in Wilcox, Saskatchewan.

Twin brothers, Justin and Adam Hall, who were selected in the seventh and eighth rounds respectively and defenseman Kirby Proctor, who was taken with the 52nd pick in the third round are the three Hurricanes prospects invited to take part in the Hockey Alberta U16 Program Summer Camp.
